Role Detail
What each job actually involves.
Project Estimator / Manager
You’ll price the work and then help run it. That means reading plans, building takeoffs, pulling quantities, and turning bid invitations into proposals that are competitive without leaving money on the table. Once jobs are awarded you’ll stay involved through scheduling, submittals, and close-out.
What you’ll do
- Review plans and specifications and build accurate quantity takeoffs
- Prepare and submit bids to general contractors and public agencies
- Solicit and level subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Track bid dates, addenda, and award status
- Support project scheduling, change orders, and billing
- Visit active sites to verify conditions and progress
What we’re looking for
- Estimating or project management experience in heavy civil, earthwork, or site development
- Comfort reading civil plans and geotechnical reports
- Strong organization, because bid dates do not move
- Takeoff or estimating software experience is a plus, not a requirement
Heavy Equipment Operator, Senior
You’ll run dozers, excavators and motor graders on commercial, residential and municipal sites across the Front Range. Most of our work is earthwork, subgrade prep and grading, so you’ll spend your days building pads and roadways to design elevation.
What you’ll do
- Operate heavy equipment safely and productively on active job sites
- Grade to design elevation using GPS machine control and grade checks
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic field maintenance
- Coordinate with the foreman, truck drivers and testing agencies on site
- Help train and mentor entry-level operators
What we’re looking for
- Several years of operating experience in earthwork or heavy civil
- Comfort running GPS-guided machines, or willingness to learn
- Reliable transportation and a strong attendance record
- A safety-first mindset on every task, every day
Heavy Equipment Operator, Entry Level
If you’ve got some seat time and want more, this is where you get it. You’ll start on the machines you know and work up, alongside senior operators who are expected to teach. We’re growing fast enough that entry level here doesn’t stay entry level for long.
What you’ll do
- Operate skid steers, loaders and smaller equipment under supervision
- Support grading crews with spotting, grade checks and cleanup
- Learn GPS machine control on live sites
- Run daily inspections and keep your machine serviced
- Take direction from the foreman and senior operators
What we’re looking for
- Some equipment experience, on a job site or on a farm
- Willingness to learn grading and machine control
- Reliable transportation and a strong attendance record
- A safety-first mindset on every task, every day
General Labor
Every site needs people on the ground, and on our crews that job is a starting point rather than a dead end. You’ll install erosion control, set grade stakes, run hand tools and keep the site organized. Show up, work hard, and we’ll put you on a machine.
What you’ll do
- Install and maintain silt fence, wattles and inlet protection
- Assist grading and demolition crews with hand work
- Operate hand tools, saws and compaction equipment
- Keep the site clean, safe and organized
- Support operators and drivers as needed
What we’re looking for
- Willingness to work outdoors in Colorado weather
- Reliable transportation and a strong attendance record
- Ability to lift and carry on your feet all day
- Interest in learning the trade and moving up
Class A CDL Driver
You’ll haul material and move machinery for our own crews, which means you’re part of the job rather than a number at a broker. Intrastate work on the Front Range, so you’re home at night.
What you’ll do
- Haul aggregate, structural fill and spoils to and from active sites
- Mobilize equipment on lowboy trailers
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain logs and comply with DOT requirements
- Coordinate with foremen on delivery timing
What we’re looking for
- Valid Class A CDL and a clean driving record
- Experience hauling in construction, aggregate or heavy haul
- Current DOT medical card
- A safety-first mindset on every load
Class B CDL Driver
Running our smaller trucks on local hauls and site support. Same deal as our Class A seats: our own trucks, our own crews, home every night.
What you’ll do
- Operate company trucks on local material hauls
- Support crews with equipment, fuel and material deliveries
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain logs and comply with DOT requirements
- Assist on site between hauls as needed
What we’re looking for
- Valid Class B CDL and a clean driving record
- Construction or material hauling experience preferred
- Current DOT medical card
- A safety-first mindset on every load
